This arts-enriched curriculum offers a more complete preschool experience in a private setting! Our goal is to foster academic readiness and social-emotional development in a creative environment. Combining a mixture of traditional preschool and Montessori-inspired philosophy, children explore math, literacy, science, and art in addition to 30 minutes of dance and music each day.
We maintain a maximum ratio of 6:1 with 12 students and 2 teachers, allowing each child the individual attention they need to thrive!
What Makes Us Unique
Movement and music is very beneficial to a child's early
development, and our dance program at the Performing Arts Preschool provides
that opportunity to strengthen children's coordination, balance and brain
power. Every day, children explore concepts of movement through games and activities. With curriculum based on Anne Green Gilbert's critically
acclaimed Brain-Compatible Dance Education, children also engage in the
"brain-dance", a set of movements that strengthens the brain with the
body's natural reflexes.
Our music and drama program gives children exposure to the
fundamentals of music theory, exploring concepts such as pitch, rhythm, tempo,
and even the beginnings of reading music. With hands-on activities, lots of opportunities for singing,
and age-appropriate drama activities, children get an early start on their
appreciation for music.
Our Philosophy
At the performing arts preschool, we believe in fostering a life-long love of learning through developmentally appropriate child-led curriculum, focusing on enriching the child as a whole and seeing every child as a unique, capable individual. As caregivers and instructors, we strive to create a learning environment that is safe, stimulating, and encouraging. A creative curriculum does not mean a non-science or math curriculum. In fact, these areas flourish in creative minds and are given just as much attention in our classroom as the arts. We inspire our students to be kind, imaginative, independent, and hungry for knowledge!
